Notice of Annual General Meeting (AGM)

 

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Nepalese Society will

be held on Sunday, 27th March 2011 from 12:30pm at the Multi Purpose Hall of

Handicap Welfare Association (HWA), 16 Whampoa Drive Singapore.

The business to be transacted at the Meeting is as follows:

 

1. To present Awards/Certificates to the Volunteers of the Society.

2. To present Awards and Certificates to the Sponsors of the Society.

3. To receive and if approved, pass the minutes of AGM 2010.

4. To receive and, if approved, pass the Annual Report for the year ending 31

December 2010.

5. To receive and, if approved, to pass the Balance Sheet and Statement of Accounts

for the year ending 31 December 2010.

6. To receive and, if approved, pass the current Management Committee’s decision to

appoint Election Committee Members.

7. To receive and, if approved, pass the current Management Committee’s decision to

appoint an honorary auditor.

8. To elect, according to Article 14.1.c of the Constitution of the Society, an NRN

International Coordination Council (ICC) Member.

9. To administer Oath of the office bearers.

10. To transact any other business in accordance with the Constitution of the

Nepalese Society.

 

In accordance with Article 10.8 of the Constitution of the Nepalese Society, no

resolution shall be proposed at the Annual General Meeting unless the terms thereof

have been previously notified to the Secretary in writing not less than one week before

the date of the Annual General meeting.

Prior to the AGM, lunch will be served from 12:00PM.

 

Validity of Membership to attend the AGM:

Those who wish to attend the AGM must have valid Membership of the Nepalese

Society as of 27
th March 2011. Existing members whose membership has expired must have renewed membership by 27th March 2011. New membership applications

must be submitted to the Management Committee for approval by 12:30PM on 27th

March 2011.

 

Submission of Nomination Form (for election of NRN International Coordination

Committee Council member):

Candidates contesting for the position must submit the attached Nomination Form duly

completed and signed to the Registered Address of the Nepalese Society (given

below).

Duly completed nomination form must be received at the registered address of

the Society by 5:00PM on Wednesday 23
rd March 2011 (ie four (4) days before

the date of election).

 

Candidates are encouraged to study to the requirements of the Constitution of the

Nepalese Society as well as Constitution of NRNA as a requirement for the contested

Notice of Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Nepalese Society will be held on Sunday, 27th June 2010 from 12:30pm at the Multi Purpose Hall of Handicap Welfare Association (HWA), 16 Whampoa Drive Singapore.

The business to be transacted at the Meeting is as follows:

1. To present Awards/Certificates to the Volunteers of the Society.

3. To present, and if approved, pass the minutes of AGM 2009.

4. To receive and, if approved, pass the Annual Report for the year ending 31 December 2009.

5. To receive and, if approved, to pass the Balance Sheet and Statement of Accounts for the year ending 31 December 2009.

6. To approve Oath and Code of Conduct of the Society.

7. To receive and, if approved, pass the current Management Committee’s decision to use a prescribed “nomination form” for the election of new management committee.

8. To dissolve the current Management Committee and to elect the Management Committee for a new term in accordance with Rule 12 of the amended Constitution of the Society.

9. To elect two honorary Auditors in accordance with Rule 15.1 of the constitution.

10. To transact any other business in accordance with the Constitution of the Nepalese Society.

In accordance with Article 10.8 of the Constitution of the Nepalese Society, no resolution shall be proposed at the Annual General Meeting unless the terms thereof have been previously notified to the Secretary in writing not less than one week before the date of the Annual General meeting.

Prior to the AGM, lunch will be served from 12:30PM.

The management committee has decided to issue a  prescribed Nomination Form (attached herewith) for the purpose of election.  

Candidates for any of the positions of the Management Committee must submit the Nomination Form duly completed and signed to the Registered Address of the Nepalese Society (given below).

Duly completed nomination form must be received at the registered address of the Society by 5:00PM on Wednesday 23rd June 2010 (ie four (4) days before the date of election).

Dear All,

Greetings from Kathmandu!

This is for your kind information that the NRN ID card has been formally 

issued from today. The first NRN ID card has been issued to NRNA President  

Dev Man Hirachan by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister

Hon. Sujata Koirala today. The formal launching program was organized

at premises of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event was covered by various  

medias, TV Channels and dailies.

Namaskaar Everyone

Holders of Nepalese Passport that are expiring within the next twelve months
are requested to renew your passport before 30 MARCH 2010.

You may not get a new passport from 1 April 2010 until the Nepalese
Government has procured the Machine Readable Passport which is required from
1 April, as per the ruling by the International Civil Aviation Organisation
(ICAO). It could be at least six months before the Nepalese Government is
ready with MRP. You may read the notice from Nepalese Government at this
URL: http://www.mofa.gov.np/mrp.php.

Hence to avoid any inconveniences in your travel plans, please renew your
passport NOW!

To apply for a new passport, please submit following documents:

1. Fully completed and signed Application Form (please download the attachment or download from www.mofa.gov.np)

2. Existing Passport

3. Two numbers of passport size photographs

4. A bank draft of USD95 addressed to"Embassy of Nepal, Bangkok" 

5. Your complete mailing address and TELEPHONE NUMBER.

6. (Optional) Copy of Nepalese Citizenship certificate if available

7.(Optional) A self addressed blank envelop which can be used to return your documents.

(Note that Passport Fee is USD80 and USD15 is courier fee. Nepalese Embassy
will return your documents with the new passport by courier).

Note that the deadline is 30 March 2010!
